How much does a RWD German Shepherd Puppy cost?
Our eight week old puppies range in price from $1,200.00 to $2,200.00 Older puppies that have basic puppy obedience training are $2500.00 to $3,200.00
What is the deposit amount to reserve a RWD German Shepherd Puppy?
The deposit amount is $350.00 Which will hold your pick puppy until delivery around eight weeks of age.
What happens to our deposit if we change our mind?
The deposit is non refundable once the puppies are born. We understand circumstances can change and we can move your reservation to another available puppy from a future litter.
How many deposits do you accept per litter?
After a confirmed breeding. We will accept reservations for three males and three females. Reservations will be taken in order they are received with a deposit of $300.00
What about if the pregnancy does not take with the litter my puppy is reserved from?
The deposit is refundable or can be moved to the next available litter.
How much does it cost to ship my puppy?
The cost to ship puppies including a health certificate and puppy crate averages between $240.00 and $325.00 depending on time of year and your nearest major airport. Note: to ship a puppy from Europe to the USA costs $650.00 to $850.00
Do we pay the shipping charges to you or the airline?
The shipping charges are prepaid to RWD. When you pick up your new puppy, there will be no money due to the airline.
Where at the airport do we pick up our new RWD German Shepherd Puppy?
Generally, the cargo department of the specified airline. The cargo building is usually separate from the passenger terminal.
What type of registration comes with my RWD German Shepherd Puppy?
AKC limited registration. We will sign the release for full registration with proof of an OFA hip rating and a working title or certification from Schutzhund, law enforcement, search and rescue, French Ring, PSA or Mondio Ring. We feel this is the responsible practice to protect the working ability, health and temperament of this wonderful breed. If you are serious about breeding quality German Shepherds this is the minimum requirements that all top breeding programs require.
Puppy Food, What do you recommend?
Royal Canin maxi large breed puppy 32 is a great puppy food. Make sure to use a puppy food formulated for large breed puppies. We highly recommend using a grain free adult dog food after your puppy is over a year of age. Taste of the Wild, Timberwolf are just a few examples of a high quality grain free adult dog foods available.

How much are your adult german shepherd dogs?
Our imported adults typically start out at $4,900.00 to $ 34,000.00 depending on the pedigree, working ability, age and certification level.
What is the deposit amount to reserve an adult dog?
The deposit amount is 50% of the purchase price.
What happens to our deposit if we change our minds?
The 50% deposit can be transferred to another dog.
How much does it cost to ship our new dog?
The cost to ship your new dog including a health certificate and crate. Averages between $420.00 to $620.00 Note: to ship dogs from Europe to the USA averages $1.400.00 to $1,800.00

What type of registration comes with my adult german shepherd dog?
The dog will come with full registration papers from their country of birth.
Will a trained adult dog bond with their new family?
The dogs we select for our adult training program must demonstrate a high pack drive during the testing selection. Dogs are pack animals, so when removed from the family "pack" they are familiar with, their high pack drive to belong to your family “ pack “ makes this bond to their new family a natural, instinctive process.
How long does it take for my new dog to become protective of my home?
After your Rentz Working Dog has joined your pack " family" the territorial instinct to protect their home will begin between one to four weeks after arrival.
Why can’t you just send me the dog directly from Europe?
We know that some importers participate in this dangerous practice. We prefer to evaluate and finish the training to our high standards. This ensures that your investment in your family’s safety and security is not put at risk.
Can we visit your facility and see the trained dogs perform?

What type of support do you offer after the sale?
We are always available by phone or email to answer training questions. Also available for private refresher training at your home for $500 per day + travel expenses. We also offer refresher training at our facility in North Carolina for level 1-4 dogs for only $60.00 per day which covers boarding, refresher training and pick up and drop off at Charlotte Douglas International airport. This service also works out great for our clients that would be on vacation and would otherwise be boarding their dog at a local boarding facility. We will support you whichever way you choose.
I would like some additional custom training done with my RWD German Shepherd Dog.
This service is available for a reduced price of $600 per day + expenses at your home. We can also custom train your dog at our facility in North Carolina for only $70.00 per day. Which covers boarding, custom training and pickup and delivery at Charlotte Douglas International airport. These reduced prices are only available for RWD level 1-4 dogs.

Our Kennel is located at the address below. Beware of companies that do not have their address published on their web-site. They are either trying to hide their lack of an actual training facility or something else.

Dog Food, what do you recommend?
A high quality grain free food. We use Taste of the Wild High Prairie Canine Formula. The main ingredients are roasted bison & roasted venison. Timberwolf, Wellness, Instinct are some of the other quality grain free dog foods available.
Why do some importers show multiple training locations?
Unfortunately most of these importers treat the protection dog business like an "Amway" sales associate program. Allowing anyone that will split the commission on a dog sale or training to be a qualified training center associate. Most of these vendors also have links on there websites looking for people to learn dog training. Guess who’s dog they’re learning how to " train " with?
What Lines do your German Shepherds descend from?
The dogs we acquire and train for our clients come from the absolute finest working and high-line dogs Europe has to offer. Our knowledge of bloodlines, breeders and top dog trainers in Europe sets us apart.
Why do some of the other vendors claim to have the only access to rare blood-lines?
If a blood-line is truly rare there is a reason and not a good one. Only the best producing lines and combinations of lines are scrutinized for their strength and are used by the skilled breeders in Europe. If it’s rare there is a good reason the Europeans are not using those lines in their breeding programs and those dogs are for sale! We can acquire dogs of higher quality from the exact blood-lines as other vendors with superior training to compliment your lifestyle.
Do you sell any other breeds beside German Shepherds?
Rentz Working Dogs specializes in what is considered the best breed for Family security, law enforcement, search and rescue, companionship, explosives detection and many other specialized uses. The European German Shepherd. We sometimes have select Belgian Malinois available. Contact us for details.
What is the difference in your dogs quality and training?
We have been called in to help people that unfortunately have been taken advantage of by some of the other (so called executive protection dog suppliers) and have been strongly disappointed in the quality of dog and lack of training. Not to mention the awful (after sale) customer service. We have been training and selling dogs for years and understand the client comes first both before and after the sale. Our quality control is second to none, from the intial aquiring of that starting with your dog being custom trained and living in our home prior to delivery to ensure a smooth transfer to your home. Your new dog is trained with methods that are based on the cutting edge. (we leave the junkyard dog type training to the others)
